CLASSES
HATHA FLOW & ENERGY/BREATH WORK (8:30am - 10am)
Each morning starts with a slow flowing, carefully crafted asana class, mixed with energy/breathing practices from yoga and other Eastern traditions. Each session has a physical focus and a theme. The classes are designed to be accessible for beginners and advanced students alike so all poses are optional, depending on the physical limitations of each student. Within the class Neil will provide a safe and supportive environment for all students. From the warm-up to the cool-down, each session challenges students to find their own sense of balance and harmony in the mind and body.
In the energy/breath work sections we will explore a variety of techniques from Eastern traditions, including 'Pranayama' from India, 'Qi-Gong' from China, and other beneficial practices from Tibet and beyond.
Together we will allow the energy body, via the breath, to blend seamlessly with the physical body, allowing spaciousness and serenity to the mind. Students can expect to feel not only refreshed and energised, but also calm and contented (peaceful and happy) by the end of this session.
YOGA PHILOSOPHY
& '7 Simple Steps to Health & Happiness'
(10:15am - 11:15am)
In this session Neil will reveal his "7 Simple Steps to Health & Happiness" approach to life - a framework inspired by Yoga and guided by his extensive studies into health, wellness, and spirituality in a broader sense. Together we will see how yoga as a practice and philosophy can be a guiding light in our lives.
The practical, insightful steps Neil shares during these sessions will reveal a clear, easy-to-follow approach to healthier, happier living. These simple insights can be used as tools for wiser daily living and greater health and happiness. His informed and positive approach to daily life can be adapted and adjusted to work for everyone, not just for those predisposed to standing on their heads or studying the scriptures - though both these practices are highly valued. By the end of this short course students will have a greater understanding of the role of yoga & spirituality in their daily lives, in addition to taking away many practical tools to boost their own health and happiness to new heights.
